Karma

Karma is a 4-cost Dark Star and Voyager champion that usually plays as a backline damage dealer. It needs safe damage uptime, and the unit gets much better when your frontline buys enough time. Karma appears in Turbo Doomer and Rogue Diff lines, so keep copies when those boards are open.

Consider playing around Karma when you can level cleanly and find key copies on the rolldown. For items, Spear of Shojin and Morellonomicon are strong signals that Karma can become a real carry. For team direction, it fits naturally when you are already moving toward Turbo Doomer and Rogue Diff. If it stays one-star, the traits do not activate, or the items point elsewhere, treat it as a transition unit instead of forcing the line.

Spear of Shojin, Morellonomicon and Void Staff are recommended. Spear of Shojin speeds up repeated casts, Morellonomicon spreads burn and healing reduction and Void Staff helps magic damage punch through resistance. The point of the setup is to give it enough uptime to convert its damage pattern into round wins.

When the perfect setup is not available, use Blue Buff, Nashor's Tooth, Adaptive Helm and Red Buff as substitutes. For damage substitutes, match the damage type and cast tempo instead of forcing random stats. If Karma is only a trait slot, one useful item is enough and the premium items should go to your real carry or main tank.

Early: play strongest board while keeping components that fit Karma. Mid game: level toward the rolldown that can find a two-star copy. Late game: build around Dark Star and Voyager and add either frontline, control, or secondary damage so the board is not one-dimensional.

Place Karma in the back two rows with a clear line to the enemy frontline. Spread it away from your other carry unless you need same-side focus fire. It starts with some mana, making the first cast timing important.
