잭스 is a 2-cost 별돌보미 and 요새 champion that usually plays as a frontline tank. Its main job is to stabilize the frontline and complete traits, so avoid leaving it as the only first target. 잭스 appears in Cards & Cartridges and Snipin & Vibin lines, so keep copies when those boards are open.

Consider playing around 잭스 when you naturally upgrade it between Stage 2 and Stage 3 and can afford to slow roll. For items, 수호자의 맹세 and 가고일 돌갑옷 are strong signals that 잭스 can stay on the board. For team direction, it fits naturally when you are already moving toward Cards & Cartridges and Snipin & Vibin. If it stays one-star, the traits do not activate, or the items point elsewhere, treat it as a transition unit instead of forcing the line.

수호자의 맹세, 가고일 돌갑옷 and 정령의 형상 are recommended. 수호자의 맹세 balances early mana and durability, 가고일 돌갑옷 scales well when several enemies target the same frontliner and 정령의 형상 matches the unit's combat pattern. The point of the setup is to keep it alive long enough to cast and hold the frontline.

When the perfect setup is not available, use 굳건한 심장, 워모그의 갑옷, 덤불 조끼 and 용의 발톱 as substitutes. For frontline substitutes, prioritize durability, sustain, and opening damage reduction without stealing every carry item. If 잭스 is only a trait slot, one useful item is enough and the premium items should go to your real carry or main tank.

Early: a two-star 잭스 can stabilize well when 별돌보미 and 요새 is already active. Mid game: decide between slow rolling for upgrades or using it as a bridge while leveling. Late game: keep it when the items and traits still point toward it; otherwise upgrade into a higher-cost carry or tank.

Place 잭스 as a main frontliner, usually same side as the enemy carry so it absorbs the first wave. If the opponent has strong single-target burst, add another tank beside it. It starts with some mana, making the first cast timing important.
