모데카이저 is a 2-cost 암흑의 별, 전달자 and 선봉대 champion that usually plays as a frontline tank. Its main job is to stabilize the frontline and complete traits, so avoid leaving it as the only first target. 모데카이저 appears in Turbo Doomer and Slap & Zap lines, so keep copies when those boards are open.

Consider playing around 모데카이저 when you naturally upgrade it between Stage 2 and Stage 3 and can afford to slow roll. For items, 가고일 돌갑옷 and 태양불꽃 망토 are strong signals that 모데카이저 can stay on the board. For team direction, it fits naturally when you are already moving toward Turbo Doomer and Slap & Zap. If it stays one-star, the traits do not activate, or the items point elsewhere, treat it as a transition unit instead of forcing the line.

가고일 돌갑옷, 태양불꽃 망토 and 이온 충격기 are recommended. 가고일 돌갑옷 scales well when several enemies target the same frontliner, 태양불꽃 망토 applies burn and anti-heal from the front row and 이온 충격기 matches the unit's combat pattern. The point of the setup is to keep it alive long enough to cast and hold the frontline.

When the perfect setup is not available, use 워모그의 갑옷, 덤불 조끼, 용의 발톱 and 저녁갑주 as substitutes. For frontline substitutes, prioritize durability, sustain, and opening damage reduction without stealing every carry item. If 모데카이저 is only a trait slot, one useful item is enough and the premium items should go to your real carry or main tank.

Early: a two-star 모데카이저 can stabilize well when 암흑의 별, 전달자 and 선봉대 is already active. Mid game: decide between slow rolling for upgrades or using it as a bridge while leveling. Late game: keep it when the items and traits still point toward it; otherwise upgrade into a higher-cost carry or tank.

Place 모데카이저 as a main frontliner, usually same side as the enemy carry so it absorbs the first wave. If the opponent has strong single-target burst, add another tank beside it. It starts with some mana, making the first cast timing important.
