Stargazer Twisted Fate: Three-Star Timing and Level 9 Upgrades

Comp GuideStargazer Twisted Fate1-Cost Reroll

A Stargazer Twisted Fate reroll guide built around 3-star Twisted Fate and solo-frontline Jax, covering conditions, board, items, positioning, augments, and tempo.

Stargazer Twisted Fate is one of the strongest 1-cost reroll boards in Set 17. With good Stargazer hexes and strong base units, 3-star Twisted Fate plus solo-frontline Jax can stabilize hard and even beat capped level 9 boards.

What to remember

  • check_circlePrefer Stargazer Medal, then Viper, Boar, and Shrine. With No Scout No Pivot or Early Learnings, more Stargazer effects are playable.
  • check_circleBuild two Jax tank items first, then Twisted Fate items and Jax's third item from remaining components.
  • check_circleKeep the team inside Stargazer hexes, solo-frontline Jax, and watch for Blitzcrank angles in late game.

Play when the Stargazer hexes are good and the base units are coming naturally. Prefer Stargazer Medal, followed by Viper, Boar, and Shrine.

If you hit No Scout No Pivot or Early Learnings, other Stargazer effects can still be worth playing.

Standard Board

The standard board uses Aatrox, Talon, Twisted Fate, Caitlyn, Jax, Milio, Riven, and Corki for Fateweaver, Stargazer, Rogue, N.O.V.A., Bastion, and Timebreaker.

At level 5, play Aatrox, Talon, Twisted Fate, Caitlyn, and Jax. At level 6 add Gwen or Riven, at level 7 add Rhaast, and at level 8 complete the standard board. At level 9, add Morgana.

A Stargazer Emblem can sit on a utility unit.

Items

Main tank Jax wants Gargoyle Stoneplate, Crownguard, and a second Gargoyle Stoneplate. Radiant versions are ideal, but normal tank items can be substituted by components.

Main carry Twisted Fate wants Nashor, Nashor, and Rabadon's Deathcap. At least one Nashor is needed for startup, and double Nashor is best. Recommended artifacts can replace Deathcap.

Secondary carry Caitlyn wants Guinsoo, Deathblade, and Giant Slayer or extra AD items. Talon can hold Edge of Night, Hextech Gunblade, and Shojin, or Thief's Gloves when items are tight.

Item Notes

The priority is two Jax tank items first. Without frontline items, the mid game is easy to lose. Once Jax has two tank items, use the remaining components for Twisted Fate and Jax's third item.

Jax wants to solo-frontline, so Gargoyle is core and double Gargoyle is playable. Twisted Fate can use two startup plus one damage item, or one startup plus two damage items.

At least one Nashor is important because it works well with Fateweaver. Extra physical items can be split between Talon and Caitlyn. If Caitlyn or Talon are not 3-starred, pivot those items to Corki or Riven later.

Comp Logic

This is one of the strongest 1-cost reroll boards on both platforms. With good items and combat augments, it can even beat very capped level 9 boards.

The formula is simple: many Stargazer effects are playable, and the core is 3-star Twisted Fate plus solo-frontline Jax, using Stargazer hexes and Fateweaver scaling to carry the mid and late game.

Positioning

Keep the team inside Stargazer hexes. Solo-frontline Jax so he stuns more enemies. In late game, watch enemy Blitzcrank positions and avoid giving him a direct line to the backline.

Divinity Choice

Varus and Kayle are the best primary choices. Varus can give 1-cost duplicators, and Kayle can give radiant items. Yasuo is also playable with good hexes.

Game Plan

Do not level early. Hold system units and try to control a three-loss streak. On 2-4, you can hit 2-star 1-cost system units and selected items.

On 3-1, roll a little for 2-star 1-costs, then level to 5 on 3-2 and slow roll with interest. By around 4-2 at the latest, hit 3-star Twisted Fate plus 3-star Caitlyn or Talon, then go level 6 and keep chasing 3-star Jax.

After that, save gold for level 8 and roll for Corki to complete the standard board. If HP is low, upgrade the 4-costs at level 8; if healthy, go level 9 and add Morgana.
