Gwen

Gwen is a 2-cost Space Groove and Rogue champion that usually plays as a midline utility unit. Its pattern rewards longer fights, so a stable frontline and clean targeting are more important than instant burst. Gwen appears in Stay Groovy and Rogue Diff lines, so keep copies when those boards are open.

Consider playing around Gwen when you naturally upgrade it between Stage 2 and Stage 3 and can afford to slow roll. For items, Jeweled Gauntlet and Striker's Flail are strong signals that Gwen can become a real carry. For team direction, it fits naturally when you are already moving toward Stay Groovy and Rogue Diff. If it stays one-star, the traits do not activate, or the items point elsewhere, treat it as a transition unit instead of forcing the line.

Jeweled Gauntlet, Striker's Flail and Hand Of Justice are recommended. Jeweled Gauntlet improves spell burst by enabling critical casts, Striker's Flail matches the unit's combat pattern and Hand Of Justice gives flexible damage and healing. The point of the setup is to give it enough uptime to convert its damage pattern into round wins.

When the perfect setup is not available, use Rabadon's Deathcap, Archangel's Staff, Void Staff and Deathblade as substitutes. For damage substitutes, match the damage type and cast tempo instead of forcing random stats. If Gwen is only a trait slot, one useful item is enough and the premium items should go to your real carry or main tank.

Early: a two-star Gwen can stabilize well when Space Groove and Rogue is already active. Mid game: decide between slow rolling for upgrades or using it as a bridge while leveling. Late game: keep it when the items and traits still point toward it; otherwise upgrade into a higher-cost carry or tank.

Place Gwen in the second row or a protected side pocket. Let the main tank take initial aggro while Gwen steps in to cast or finish targets. Its mana bar is short, so surviving lets it cast repeatedly.
